The Hang Seng added 342 points or 1.5% at 22,208 and the Nikkei was up 37 points or 0.5% at 11,204, respectively.
The Shanghai Composite Index was up 27 points or 1% at 3,145.
The Straits Times and the Taiwan Weighted Index added 0.5% each at 2,970 and 8,092, respectively.
The Seoul Composite on the other hand was marginally down at 8,092.
The european markets have opened on a positive note. The CAC 40 is up 51 points or 1% at 4,028 and the DAX has advanced 61 points or 1% at 6,231, respectively. The FTSE 100 is up 1% at 5,762.

The Asian markets have opened on a mixed note.
The Hang Seng is quoting at 21,996, higher by 129 points or 0.5%, while the Seoul Composite is at 1,714, down 19 points or 1.1%.
Nikkei is flat at 11,167 and so are Taiwan Weighted and Straits Times at at 8,055 and 2,963 respectively.
