Asian markets end in red

The Asian markets today ended on a negative note.

The Hang Seng slipped 72 points to 18,528.

The Nikkei dropped 94 points to 9,783, despite the Japanese industrial output spurting 6% in May.

The Shanghai Composite advanced 47 points to 2,975.

The Straits Times closed flat at 2,319 and the Seoul Composite was marginally down at 1,388.

The Taiwan Weighted Index slipped 72 points to 6,391.

The Asian markets have now turned negative

The Hang Seng has slipped 56 points to 18,544. The Nikkei has dropped 92 points to 9,785.

The Shanghai Composite has advanced 25 points to 2,953.

The Taiwan Weighted Index has declined 43 points to 6,420.

The Seoul Composite and the Straits Times are marginally down at 1,390 and 2,311, respectively.

Asian markets are flat this morning.

Hopes of a global economic recovery has helped Nikkei gain 39 points to 9,916. The Hang Seng, on the other hand, has slipped 39 points to 18,561.

The Shanghai Composite has added 12 points at 2,939. The Seoul Composite is marginally up at 1,398.

The Taiwan Weighted and the Straits Times are flat at 6,460 and 2,315, respectively.
