Asian markets end in red ahead of key global meets

Asian markets ended in end, ahead of the US and Japanese central bank meetings later this week.

The Hang Seng dropped 131 points to 21,079. The Nikkei ended flat at 10,752.

The Taiwan Weighted slumped 113 points (1.4%) to 7,634. The Shanghai Composite dropped 36 points (1.2%) to 2,976.

The Seoul Composite shed 13 points (1%) at 1,650. The Straits Times was down four points at 2,877.

The Asian markets are still weak. The Hang Seng has declined 183 points or 1% to 21,026. The Nikkei is down nine points at 10,742.

The Shanghai Composite Index has slipped 35 points or 1% to  2,978.

The Seoul Composite and the Taiwan Weighted Index is down 1% each at 1,646 and 7,672, respectively.

The Straits Times is down four points at 2,877.

Asian markets have opened weak this morning. The Hang Seng has slipped 140 points to 21,069. The Nikkei has dropped 19 points to 10,733.

The Seoul Composite has dipped 14 points (1%) to 1,649. The Shanghai Composite and the Taiwan Weighted have declined around  0.7% each to 2,991 and 7,692, respectively.

The Straits Times is flat at 2,884.
