Hang Seng ended at 22,138, lower by 70 points or 0.3%, while the Nikkei closed at 11,251, higher by 47 points or 0.4%.
Seoul Composite ended at 1,710, down 14 points or 0.8%, while Straits Times is at 2,974, higher by two points and Taiwan Weighted closed at 8,117, up 25 points or 0.3%.
Meanwhile, the European markets have opened in the green. FTSE is quoting at 5,781, stronger by 69 points or 1.2% and DAX is at 6,263, higher by 13 points or 0.2%. CAC is flat, with a negative bias, at 4,053.

The Asian markets are firm in early trades. Hang Seng is quoting at 22,260, stronger by 51 points or 0.2% and Nikkei is at 11,314, higher by 110 points or 0.9%.
Straits Times is placed at 2,976, higher by four points or 0.1% and Taiwan Weighted is at 8,112, up 20 points or 0.2%.
Seoul Composite is the only exception; having shed nine points or 0.5% at 1,714.
