The Hang Seng is down 24 points at 15,437. The Nikkei has gained 75 points at 8,687.
The Taiwan Weighted index is down five points at 4,643. The Straits Times is up five points at 1,784, and the Seoul Composite index has added seven points to 1,177.
The Shanghai Composite index is up four points at 1,981.
