Asian markets in red; Nikkei down 265pts

Asian markets are all in red this morning.

The Hang Seng has slipped 256 points to 14,785. The Nikkei has shed 265 points at 9,041.

The Taiwan Weighted index has dropped 39 points to 4,903. The Straits Times index has declined 54 points to 1,867, and the Seoul Composite index is down 24 points at 1,173.

The Shanghai Composite index is down eight points at 1,950.
