The Hang Seng has moved up 44 points to 21,778. The Nikkei has added 50 points at 12,938.
The Taiwan Weighted index has slipped 25 points to 6,950. The Straits Times index and the the Seoul Composite indices are almost unchanged at 2,865 and 1,524, respectively.
The Shanghai Composite index has moved up 23 points to 2,708.
