The Hang Seng, on the other hand, advanced 228 points to 21,701.
The Shanghai Composite shed 69 points to 2,897. The Taiwan Weighted was down 33 points to 7,469.
The Straits Times added 31 points to 2,679 and the Seoul Composite gained 23 points at 1,719.

Asian markets continue to be in the positive zone this morning.
The Hang Seng has added 109 points to 21,582.
The Seoul Composite has advanced 22 points to (1.2%) to 1,717. The Straits Times has moved up 19 points to 2,667.
The Taiwan Weighted, however, has slipped nine points to 7,493.
The Shanghai Composite is flat at 2,966.

Asian markets are in the green this morning.
The Hang Seng has added 143 points to 21,615. The Nikkei has, however, slipped 73 points to 10,371.

The Seoul Composite has moved up 19 points (1%) to 1,714. The Straits Times has advanced 16 points to 2,664.
The Shanghai Composite and the Taiwan Weighted are flat at 2,974 and 7,508, respectively.
