On the back of encouraging cues from the US markets, the Asian markets have opened in the positive.
The top gainer among the Asian indices is Nikkei which gained over 1% building on yesterday's gains. The favourable earnings reports from local companies and Federal Reserve's policy decision aided the gains.
The other noteable gainers for the day are Hang Seng up 0.5%, Straits Times,Jakarta Composite, Shanghai Composite and Seoul Composite added 0.3% each.
