Asian markets open higher

Asian markets are trading mostly in the green with investors shrugging off Europe’s worsening debt crisis as financial stocks mostly gained.

The top gainers in today's trades are Shanghai Composite, Hang Seng, Jakarta Composite  gaining 0.7-0.8%. Seoul Composite and Taiwan Weighted gaining 0.5% each are the other noteable gainers.

In Chinese markets,China’s gross domestic product expanded at a faster-than-expected rate of 9.5% in the April-June quarter from the year-ago period. As a result, the Shanghai Composite index gained 0.8%

However,KLSE Composite is trading in the negative losing 0.07%
