The Asian markets are trading mostly in the green on the back of positive cues from the US markets over night.
The Hong Kong shares advanced for the third straight session with energy producers leading the way as benchmark Nymex crude-oil futures hit $107 a barrel due to turmoil in the Middle East and North Africa. But as the trade progressed the index pared some of its gains and is trading flat at 23,529.
The other gainers are China's Shanghai Composite which climbed 0.1% to 2,933,Jakarta Composite and KLSE Composite gaining 0.2% each while Seoul Composite is flat at 2,107.
On the other hand, Nikkei and Taiwan Weighted are down 0.1% each and Straits Times shed 0.06% at 3,103.
