Asian markets open in the green

The Asian markets have opened mostly in the green on the back of positive cues from the US markets.

Hang Seng is quoting at 23,175, stronger by 83 points or 0.3% and the Nikkei has opened at 10,253, higher by 21 points or 0.2%.

Seoul Composite is quoting at 1,970, stronger by 14 points or 0.7%, Taiwan Weighted is at 8,760,higher by 57 points or 0.6% and Straits Times is at 3,212, up 10 points or 0.3%.

The only exception is Shanghai Composite at 2,840, down eight points or 0.2%.
