Asian markets open lower

Taking a cue from the developments in the US markets overnight, the Asian indices have opened in the red.

Hang Seng is flat at 22,037 and the Nikkei has opened at 9,446, lower by 19 points or 0.6%.

Seoul Composite is quoting at 1,837, stronger by four points or 0.2%, Taiwan Weighted is at1,837, lower by 26 points or 0.3% and Straits
Times is flat at 3,083.
