Asian markets open on a flat note

Taking cues from the US markets,the Asian markets opened flat.

Hang Seng is quoting at 20,826, weaker by 86 points or 0.4% and the Nikkei has opened at 10,175, lower by 62 points or 0.6%.

Seoul Composite is quoting at 1,730, weaker by 9 points or 0.5%, Taiwan Weighted is at 7,617, lower by 19 points or 0.2% and Straits
Times is at 2,880, down 6 points or 0.2%.

Shanghai Composite is at 2,580, down 6 points or 0.2%.
