The Asian markets have opened weak, taking a cue from the sell-off seen on Wall Street overnight. Hang Seng is at 20,082, weaker by 166 points or 0.8% and Nikkei is at 9,366, lower by 204 points or 2.1%.
Taiwan Weighted is at 7,307, weaker by 116 points or 1.5%, Seoul Composite is at 1,689, lower by 17 points or 1% and Straits Times is at 2,815, down 15 points or 0.5%.
Shanghai Composite has weakened by 19 points or 0.8% at 2,407.
