Markets in Asia are undoing Tuesday's losses as concerns over Korean War and further policy tightening in China ease.
Stocks on Wall Street also sank on Korea tensions and escalating worries that Ireland debt crisis may spread to other European countries.
China's Shanghai Composite rose 0.3%, Hang Seng was up 0.7% and Strait Times gained 0.4%. Financial and realty shares which posted huge losses during the early part of the week were lead gainers.
Japan's Nikkei 225 which was shut yesterday dropped 0.8%. South Korea's Seoul Composite continued to be under pressure from artillery barrage by North Korea yesterday. The index stumbled 0.6% as investors sold Korean assets. Taiwan Weighted was also down 0.2%.
