Bajra improves on fresh industrial demand

Bajra prices rose by Rs 15 per quintal in lacklustre trade on the wholesale grains market today on pick up in industrial demand amid fall in arrivals.

Elsewhere, other grains continued to trade in tight range on alternate bouts of trading before ended around previous levels. 

Traders said pick up in industrial demand against less arrivals, mainly pushed up wholesale bajra prices.

Bajra prices gained Rs 15 to Rs 815-825 per quintal

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Wheat MP (deshi) 1,650-1,765, wheat dara (for mills) 1,265-1,270 chakki atta (delivery) 1,255-1,260, atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 175, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 175, Roller flour mill 665-685 (50 kg), Maida 760-790 (50 kilos) and Sooji 885-905 (50 kg)

Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 9,500, Shri Lal Mahal 9,300, Super basmati rice 9,000, Basmati common 5,600-5,700, rice Pusa-(1121) 4,650-5,250, Permal raw 1,900-1,950, Permal wand 2,025-2,175
