The stock touched a low of Rs 25.30, down 3.5% from the day's high. It finally ended up 3.5% at Rs 25.55. The counter clocked relatively heavy volumes of 1.43 million shares as against the two-week daily traded average of 331,756.

Bank of Maharashtra has surged on the back of good Q4 numbers.
The stock opened at Rs 25.95 and went up to Rs 26.20, up 6%. The stock is now at Rs 26. In the process the stock has advanced 7% in a week. The counter has witnessed relatively heavy trading volumes of 529,807 so far, as against the two-week daily traded average of 331,756 shares.
According to a release issued by the bank to the BSE, the net profit has more-than doubled (145%) to Rs 137.33 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2009 from Rs 55.99 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago. The total income has increased 26% to Rs 1,321.92 crore in Q4FY09 from Rs 1,049.11 crore in Q4FY08.
