The benchmark indices shed 1.74 per cent and 1.59 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE)respectively.
The traded volumes were higher than the 10 day traded average at Rs 1,734 crore and Rs 4,055 crore on the BSE and the NSE, respectively.
The breadth was widely negative as the ratio of advances to declines stood at 914 : 1798 and the capitalisation of the breadth was even more bearish at Rs 740 crore: Rs 5,047 crore. The most noteworthy aspect of today
