In thin trading, barley prices fell by Rs 10 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today due to sluggish demand from consuming industries.
Elsewhere, other grains settled around previous closing after moving in a tight range in the absence of worthwhile activity. Traders said sluggish demand from consuming industries against adequate stocks position mainly led to the decline in barley prices.
In the national capital, barley declined by Rs 10 to Rs 1,200-1,225 per quintal.
