Barley prices recovered by Rs 6.80, or 0.61 per cent, to Rs 1,115.20 per quintal in futures trade today on fresh buying by traders and pick up in demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, barley for July contract rose by Rs 6.80, or 0.61 per cent, to Rs 1,115.20 per quintal, with an open interest of 171 lots.
Barley for delivery in August contract also gained Rs 6.80, or 0.60 per cent, to Rs 1,135.40 per quintal, with a business turnover of 93 lots.
Market analysts said fresh buying by traders, pick up in demand amid restricted arrivals led to a recovery in barley prices at futures trade.
