Barley futures prices revealed a mixed trend today, as the current month gained on fresh buying, while the far month contracts dropped nearly two per cent on expectations of new crops' arrival.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, barley for current November month contract rose by Rs 14.20, or 1.09 per cent to Rs 1,316 per quintal, with an open interest of 7,030 lots.
On the other hand, the April-month contract tumbled by two per cent or Rs 21.60 to Rs 1,059 per quintal, with an open interest of 90 lots.
