Base metals close steady on subdued trade

Base metals ended steady at the non-ferrous metal market here today on a subdued trading activity despite firming trend at the London Metal Exchange (LME). 

The industrial metals rose at the LME on improved global economic growth, though worries over eurozone debt problems capped the advance.

Following are the base metals prices (per kg) with previous rates in brackets:

Copper cable scrap Rs 471 (Rs 471), Copper scrap heavy Rs 462 (Rs 462), Copper armiture Rs 451 (Rs 451), Copper utensils scrap Rs 425 (Rs 425), Copper wire bar Rs 499 (Rs 499), Copper sheet cutting Rs 444 (Rs 444)

Brass utensils scrap Rs 306 (Rs 306), Brass sheet cutting Rs 315 (Rs 315), Aluminium ingots Rs 134 (Rs 134), Aluminium utensils scrap Rs 108 (Rs 108), Zinc Rs 126 (Rs 126), Lead Rs 124 (Rs 124), Tin Rs 1,410 (Rs 1,410) and Nickel Rs 1,210 (Rs 1,210)
