Most of the base metals fell at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to lower demand from stockists as well as industrial users despite recovery in global market.

The industrial metals rose at the LME on fears over supply shortage due to ongoing miners strike in Chile.

Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar both moved down by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 473 and Rs 501 as compared to Rs 476 and Rs 504 yesterday.

Copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap, copper sheet cuttings and brass utensils scrap all edged down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 464, Rs 425, Rs 445 and Rs 305, respectively.
