Base metals ends mixed

Base metals ended mixed in a fairly active non-ferrous metal market here today though the metals mostly ended higher at global level. 

Select copper, brass and aluminium prices rose on the back of good demand from consumer industries.  

Meanwhile, tin, nickel, lead, copper cable scrap and copper wire bar declined due to stockists selling. 

Brass utensil scrap shot up by Rs 8 per kilo to Rs 270 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 262 and brass sheet cutting also firmed up by Rs 4 per kilo to Rs 277 as against Rs 273 previously.

Copper sheet cutting moved up by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 377 from Rs 374.

Copper utensils scrap and aluminium utensils scrap both edged up by Rs 2 per kilo each to Rs 365 and Rs 100. 

Copper armiture alos inched up by a rupee per kilo to Rs 381.   

However, tin dropped by Rs 15 per kilo to Rs 1,260 from overnight closing level of Rs 1,275.

Nickel fell by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 1,135 as against Rs 1,140 yesterday. Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and lead all softened by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 400, Rs 428 and Rs 106 respectively.
