Base metals rise on global cues

Most of the base metals rose at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to renewed demand from stockist and industrial users amid higher London Metal Exchange (LME) advices. 

Nickel spurted by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,220 from overnight closing level of Rs 1,210 and copper utensils scrap gained by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 427 as against Rs 424 yesterday.

Copper scrap heavy, copper armiture, copper sheet cutting, zinc and lead all edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 465, Rs 454, Rs 449, Rs 129 and Rs 127, respectively.  

Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar both inched up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 475 and Rs 503.
