BEML is trading lower by 3% at Rs 562, extending its 7% fall in past two trading days, on reports that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had questioned three senior officials of the finance and vigilance wings of the company regarding the case of alleged irregularities in the Tatra truck supply deal to the army.
The CBI is presently investigating allegations that Army chief General V K Singh was offered a bribe of Rs 14 crore to approve a contract for the acceptance of Tatra trucks.
A combined 29,225 shares have changed hands on the counter in morning deals on both the exchanges.
