BGR Energy surges on winning orders from NTPC

The orders for supply of steam turbine and generators from state owned NTPC for the proposed 2X800 MW super thermal power project at Lara in Chattisgarh.

BGR Energy Systems has surged 6% to Rs 278 after the company said that it has bagged orders for supply of steam turbine and generators from state owned NTPC for the proposed 2X800 MW super thermal power project at Lara in Chattisgarh. The value of the order is Rs 1,548 crore.

As on date the order book of the company is at Rs 14,077 crore, the power plant equipment supplier said in a statement.

The stock opened at Rs 268 and hit a high of Rs 298 on the NSE. A combined 189,000 shares have changed hands on the counter in opening deals on both the exchanges.
