Shares of Bharti Airtel witnessed profit taking and were trading slightly lower. The stock had gained in early trades on reports that the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has set aside a penalty of Rs 650 crore imposed on the company by Department of Telecommunication (DOT) in a roaming case.
TDSAT said that there was no loss to BSNL due to these services offered by Airtel and Vodafone, the PTI report suggests.
The stock opened at Rs 360 and touched a high of Rs 362 on NSE. A combined around 390,000 shares changed hands on the counter till 0921 hours on NSE and BSE.
