Bharti Airtel is trading lower by nearly 1% at Rs 356,  falling 3% from intra-day high on the BSE after the company reported 10% year on year (YoY) growth in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,523 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 (Q2), after accounting for Rs 756 crore towards net benefit of exceptional items.

The resultant profit before tax and exceptional items for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 was Rs 2,303 crore as compared to Rs 2,997 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, a decrease of 23.1%, the decline primarily attributed to increase in net finance costs, Bharti Airtel said in a statement.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) margin improved during the quarter to 34.7% as compared to 33.9% in the corresponding quarter last year, led by improvement in opex productivity, it added.
