Shares of the companies that have been included in MSCI India Index have rallied on the bourses in early morning trades.
Bharat Forge (3% at Rs 1,259), Bharti Infratel (5% at Rs 404), Container Corp of India (6% at Rs 1,797), Eicher Motors (4% at Rs 17,860), Lupin (2% at Rs 1,784), Marico (5% at Rs 400), Shree Cement (7% at Rs 1,0800) and UPL (2% at Rs 501) have rallied between 2% and 7% each on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 0928 hours.

The stocks which have been added to the MSCI India index are likely to witness buying from passive foreign funds which track the return of the MSCI India index. Likewise, the stocks which have been excluded from the index are likely to witness selling from passive funds.
