BSE revises cricuit filter for over 1,000 stocks

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has revised its range of circuit filters for as many as 1,069 stocks. The revised circuit filters will be brought into force from today and will remain in place until further notice.

The BSE, in a notice to its members on Friday, said the revision in circuit filters had been carried out as part of a review of the exchange’s surveillance action.

The circuit filters are revised in the range of 2% to 10%. The highest number of stocks, 634, comes under the revised 10% filter. The 5% category includes 375 stocks, while the most volatile 60 stocks now fall within 2%.

Maestros Mediline Systems, Scanpoint Geomatics, Multibase India and Anand Credit were continuously frozen 5% upper limit of circuit filter throughout last week and gained more than 20% each, will have 10% circuit filter from Monday, March 8.

Petron Engineering, Passari Cellulose, Goodluck Steel Tubes and Talbros Automotive Components are among the others which will now have 10% circuit filters. All these stocks had 5% circuit filter earlier.

Ferro Alloys Corporation which had zoomed 73% in last week to Rs 20 from Rs 11, will now have 10% circuit filter against 20% earlier.

Sulzer India had frozen 20% upper limit of circuit filter in straight two trading session, after announced delisting plans, will have 10% circuit filter with effect from Monday. The stock had spurted 56% in last week to Rs 1,244 from Rs 797 on the BSE.

DHP India and Narmada Gelatines were appreciated more than 40% each in last week, will 5% circuit filter from Monday against 10% earlier.
