BSE revises indices constituents from June 24, 2013

However, no changes have been announced in the BSE S&P Sensex, BSE S&P 100, Oil&gas, PSU, Healthcare, Carbonex and Greenex indices

BSE has announced changes to its benchmark indices which will be in effect from June 24, 2013. Changes have been made in the constituents of the S&P BSE 200, S&P BSE 500,Teck, Bankex, IT, FMCG, Auto, Capital Goods, Consumer Durables, Metal, Realty and Power indices.

However, no changes have been announced in the BSE S&P Sensex, BSE S&P 100, Oil&gas, PSU, Healthcare, Carbonex and Greenex indices.

Banks like J&K Bank, Karnataka Bank and South Indian Bank and NBFCs like Bajaj Finance and Muthoot Finance will find their way into the S&P BSE 200 index, while infrastructure companies like Punj Lloyd, Lanco Infratech, Neyveli Lignite amongs will be left out of the index. In all, the S&P BSE 200 index will see 12 inclusions and 12 exclusions.

The S&P BSE 500 index will see 24 companies exiting the list and an equal number entering it which includes companies like Lakshmi Vilas Bank, Kirloskar Brothers, Indiabulls Infrastructure and Power, GIC Housing Finance, Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri, among others.

Stocks like Gammon India, S Kumars Nationwide, Thomas Cook (India), GTL, Tulip Telecom and others will be excluded from the index.

IDBI Bank will be from the Bankex. However, no new additions have been made to the index.. On other hand, the FMCG index will see no exclusions but Glaxosmithkline Consumer Healthcare will be added to the constituents.

Mindtree is to be the only inclusion to the BSE S&P IT index, while both Mindtree and Bharti Infratel have been added to the S&P BSE TECK index.

Mindtree will be included in both the IT and TECK sector indices, while Bharti Infratel will be an addition in the TECK index. Tulip Telecom has been excluded from both the IT and the S&P BSE 500 index.

Bharat Forge will be added to the auto index.

PTC India is to be excluded from the S&P BSE 200, but will be included in the S&P BSE Power index.
