The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today said it will suspend as many as 18 stocks from trading on bourse from January 4 next year for non-compliance of listing agreement.
"Failing to comply with certain listing norms on the BSE, trading in securities of such defaulting companies is liable for suspension," the exchange said in a release.
A company intending to have its securities listed on the BSE has to comply with the listing requirements prescribed by it.
The companies to be debarred include Harig Crankshafts, Prag Bosimi Synthetics, Rathi Ispat, Wisec Global and Harvic Management Services India.
According to the BSE, if the company complies with all provisions of the listing agreement on or before December 24, trading in securities of the company would be suspended for only for five days that is up to January 8, 2010.
If the companies comply with all provisions on or before January 18, 2010, then trading would be suspended up to February 4, 2010.
However, if company fails to comply with the provisions all together till January 18, 2010, the suspension would continue till the time the company complies with the procedure prescribed for revoking suspension in a scrip.
