The Sensex is now down 386 points at 17,438. Sentiment had turned weak following the FM's status quo on the corporate taxes and hike in short-term capital gains to 15%. The NSE Nifty is down 129 points at 5,156.Tata Steel and Reliance have plunged over 4% each to Rs 789 and Rs 2,432, respectively.DLF, ACC and Wipro have tumbled around 4% each to Rs 773, Rs 776 and Rs 429, respectively.Larsen & Toubro has dropped nearly 4% to Rs 3,503. Reliance Energy and ONGC have shed around 3.5% each to Rs 1,542 and Rs 1,004, respectively.Infosys, Bharti Airtel and Satyam are down around 3% each at Rs 1,547, Rs 820 and Rs 434, respectively.Maruti has moved up 1.7% to Rs 849. Mahindra & Mahindra and Hindustan Unilever have gained 1.3% each at Rs 689 and Rs 223, respectively.Out of 2,677 stocks traded so far, 1,844 have declined, 785 have advanced and 48 are unchanged.
