The Sensex is now down 474 points at 17,351 owing to sustained selling pressure in the market following the FM's status quo on the corporate taxes and hike in short-term capital gains to 15%. The NSE Nifty is down 154 points at 5,131.Tata Steel and Wipro have slumped 5% each to Rs 782 and Rs 424, respectively.Reliance, ONGC and Ambuja Cements have plunged around 4.5% each to Rs 2,420, Rs 993 and Rs 116, respectively.Larsen & Toubro and BHEL have shed 4% each at Rs 3,495 and Rs 2,231, respectively.Reliance Energy has slipped 3.5% to Rs 1,545. Reliance Communications, ICICI Bank and ACC are down over 3% each to Rs 565, Rs 1,068 and Rs 782, respectively.Maruti has moved up 1.7% to Rs 849.Out of 2,629 stocks traded so far, 1,824 have declined, 749 have advanced and 56 are unchanged.
