The stocks of companies engaged in the base metals business, including copper have gained in the last three months from September to December on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).The share price of Binani Industries rose from Rs 22.30 on September 1, to today's close of Rs 27.45, up 25 per cent on the BSE. During the same period the stock price of Hindustan Copper increased from Rs 32.00 to Rs 36.75, up by 14.84 per cent.Public sector Hindustan Zinc increased from Rs 90.45 to Rs 121.65 up 33 per cent. Precision Wires gained from Rs 56.25 to Rs 84.60. Share price of Shivalik Bimetal Controls gained from Rs 121.10 to Rs 187.55.Private sector major Sterlite Industries rose from Rs 513.60 to Rs 550.15 and SWIL from Rs 9.38 to Rs 12.64. Tata-owned Tinplate rose from Rs 38.70 to Rs 48.35. Ram Ratna Wires gained from Rs 11.22 to Rs 16.51 and Gujarat Intrux from Rs 13.23 to Rs 16.70.
