Cadila Healthcare shares rose 5.61 per cent to close the day at Rs 271.30 on news that the company's unit Zydus Cadila signed a new drug discovery and development agreement with Eli Lilly in cardiovascular research.
The stock opened at Rs 260 and made an intraday high of Rs 297 with trading volumes of 220,000 shares.
