Cardamom prices fell by 0.53% to Rs 765.40 per kg in futures trading today after speculators booked profits at prevailing levels, driven by a decline in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in July month declined by Rs 4.10, or 0.53% to Rs 765.40 per kg in business turnover of 664 lots.

Similarly, cardamom for delivery in August contract traded lower by Rs 3.30, or 0.42% to Rs 781 per kg in 219 lots.

Market analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators at prevailing higher levels, subdued demand in the spot market, too influenced cardamom prices at futures trade.
