Cardamom down on higher supply

Cardamom prices declined by 0.46% to Rs 796 per kg in futures market today on higher supplies from producing belts against sluggish demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the Novembre contract for cardamom declined by Rs 3.70, or 0.46%, to Rs 796.30 per kg in business turnover of 550 lots.

The contract for December shed Rs 3.80, or 0.44%, to Rs 864 per kg in 122 lots.

Market analysts said adequate stocks following higher supplies from producing belts against subdued demand at prevailing higher levels mainly influenced cardamom futures.
