Cardamom shed Rs 21.30 to Rs 985.60 per kg in futures trade today as speculators engaged in profits booking amid low demand in the spot market.

Sentiment remained weak due to the adequate stocks availability in the physical market against higher supply from producing belts, traders said.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in October fell by Rs 21.30, or 2.11%, to Rs 985.60 per kg, with a business turnover of 631 lots.

November cardamom declined by Rs 19.90, or 1.93%, to Rs 1,012.40 per kg, with a business volume of 146 lots.
