Cardamom futures fell for the third day today falling by Rs 8.90 to Rs 831 per kg as traders reduced their holdings owing to sluggish spot demand.
At the Multi-Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in April fell by Rs 8.90, or 1.06% to Rs 831 per kg in business turnover of 181 lots.
The March contract shed Rs 5.80, or 0.73% to Rs 789.50 per kg in 598 lots.
Analysts said traders reducing their holdings on the back of sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on cardamom prices at futures trade.
