Cardamom prices eased by 0.57% to Rs 806 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels amid easing demand in the spot market.

Besides, adequate stocks in the physical market on increased supplies from producing belts weighed on prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November fell by Rs 4.60, or 0.57%, to Rs 806 per kg, in a business turnover of 127 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in December traded lower by Rs 3.60, or 0.43%, to Rs 832 per kg in 16 lots.

Market analysts attributed the fall in cardamom futures to profit-booking by speculators at existing levels amid subdued demand in the spot market.
