Cardamom prices declined by Rs 3 to Rs 722 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced their positions amid a weak trend in the spot market on subdued demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, September cardamom declined by Rs 3, or 0.47% to Rs 722 per kg, with a business turnover of 763 lots.
The October contract shed Rs 3, or 0.39%, to Rs 767.80 per kg in 50 lots.
Marketmen said offloading of positions by speculators due to subdued demand in the spot market and adequate stocks position mainly led to the decline in cardamom futures prices.
