Cardamom futures fall 5.6% on profit-booking

Cardamom futures prices fell by 5.60 to Rs 808.60 per kg today as speculators booked profits at existing high levels amid a weak trend at spot market on subdued demand. 

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for July delivery fell by Rs 5.60, or 0.69%, to Rs 808.60 per kg, with a business turnover of 127 lots.

Similarly, the spice for August deliveryshed Rs 3.50, or 0.41%, Rs 856.80 per kg, with a trade volume of in 169 lots. 

Analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators, subdued demand against adequate stocks position in the physical market mainly led to a fall in cardamom futures prices.
