Cardamom prices rose further for the second straight day by adding Rs 7.40 to Rs 814 per kg in futures trade today on continued buying by traders on rising demand.
Less arrivals from producing regions also supported the uptrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom prices for delivery in July rose further by Rs 7.40, or 0.92%, to Rs 814 per kg, with a business turnover of 273 lots. It had gained Rs 20.60 in the previous session.
The September delivery moved up by Rs 7.10, or 0.81%, to Rs 882 per kg, with an open interest of 62 lots.
Market analysts said continued buying by traders on the back of rising spot market demand against tight supply mainly helped cardamom futures prices to remain up.
