Cardamom prices shed 2.65% to reach Rs 1,117 per kg in futures trading today after speculators booked profits at existing levels amid subdued demand in the spot market.

Adequate stocks positions in the physical market following increased arrivals from producing regions influenced cardamom futures prices today.

At the MCX, cardamom for delivery in May fell by Rs 30.40, or 2.65%, to Rs 1,117 per kg in business turnover of 1,377 lots.

The June contract lost Rs 31.60, or 2.59%, to Rs 1,189.80 per kg in 272 lots.
