Cardamom futures prices rose by Rs 14.60, or 1.57 per cent, to Rs 944 per kg today on pick up in demand in spot markets owing to the ongoing festive and marriage season.
Restricted arrivals from producing regions also supported the rise in prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, cardamom for November delivery rose by Rs 14.60, or 1.57 per cent, to Rs 944 per kg, with a trading volume of 119 lots, while December delivery surged by Rs 6.60, or 0.72 per cent, to Rs 919.90 per kg, with a business turnover of 78 lots.
The spice for January delivery gained by 70 paise, or 0.08 per cent, to Rs 905 per kg, with an open interest of 15 lots.
