Cardamom prices rose by Rs 10.30 to Rs 1,580 per kg in futures trade today on fresh demand in the spot market following the ongoing marriage and festival season.
Restricted arrivals from producing region also supported the uptrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, cardamom for February rose by Rs 10.30, or 0.66 per cent to Rs 1,580.00 per kg, with an open interest of single lot.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in March edged up by Rs 10, or 0.58 per cent to Rs 1,625 per kg, with a business volume of one lot.
Market analysts said rise in cardamom futures prices was attributed to fresh domestic demand due to ongoing marriage season against restricted arrivals from southern producing regions.
