Cardamom prices rose by Rs 18 to Rs 1,103.40 per kg in futures trade today due to pick-up in spot demand against restricted arrivals from producing regions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in June gained Rs 18, or 0.84% to Rs 1,103.40 per kg, with a business turnover of two lots.
Likewise, the spice for delivery in May gained Rs 7.30, or 0.68% to Rs 1,081 per kg, with an open interest of a single lot.
Traders said pick-up in demand in the spot markets mainly influenced cardamom prices at futures trade here.
